Coach Steve Lightbody
In 2011, at 27years old I started my Judo journey under Chris Stokes after being inspired whilst taking my son along to classes. Will Gifford-Tiny and I became Market Harborough Judo Clubs first black belts.Since then our club has grown bigger than I could have imagined and is more than an exciting project, it is a piece of my heart.I took over from Chris, running the club from 2017. My coaching style has been formed from my work in a therapeutic community. In 2022 I won British Master and Bronze in the World Police and Fire Games. I have gained a blue belt in BJJ and working towards my 2nd Dan in Judo. I am currently studying to be a yoga teacher.
